Hi,
I boot my WIN XP Prof with SP2 this morning and I can't open my
previous VPN connection, although a few hours ago worked fine more
than 1,5 year.
I use an Icon on Desktop and Connect on right click, because
I can't see Virtual Private Network group among Network Connections
created.
What more. Although I can create new one (better say I can complete
new VPN setup through Network Connection Wizard), I can't see any VPN
Network Connection.
The only place where I could see created VPN Connections is in

Internet Properties > Connections > Dial-up and Virtual Private
connection

SP2 was installed a few days ago and I'm not sure whether a I did some
reboots after a mandatory SP2 reboot. (except this one this morning).

My account is in Administrators group. I tried the same with
Administrator account with no success.

In folder options is setup to see system files and what ever is
possible.
I tried turn off WIN Firewall, rebooted. No success.

Any suggestion? Many thanks.

I am guessing that your DNS is failing. I suggest trying to flush the DNS
buffer, and restart to try the VPN again. (This, at least, won't hurt
anything)

DNS fails: restart windows, after you go to start/run, and type CMD, then at
that prompt type:

IPCONFIG /flushDNS
and then :
IPCONFIG /registerDNS
