VPN server on windows xp

i got this problem ,

i got 2 computers on my network , 1 is connected to the internet and shares
that connection with the other one . i want the computer that connects to the
interent also be vpn server so i could connect to the computer from work gain
lan ip and connect to the other computer , i installed "incoming connection"
on the computer and it doesn't seem to work . it works fine when i'm offline
from the interent and the other computer test it (i mean try to connect to
the vpn server) but if i'm online it's not working? the computer got 2 nics .

is there any problem ? the firewall is disabled , i know i can use remote
desktop thats what i'm using but how can i make this vpn server work using
windows xp ?

assuming you use ICS on the XP, you should not enable Incoming connection. You may try IPSec.
