Creating XP Pro VPN Server

I would like to establish one computer from our small business network as a
VPN server. All computers are running XP Pro. I have followed instructions
on Configuring Windows XP Professional to be a VPN server but am unable to
connect. I can ping the server from the client computer with no problems.
The server connects to the the internet through a hub connected to the
router. The server has one NIC. Does the server need another NIC?

Are there any other solutions for a small office to connect remotely?
