Hello!

I have a problem with a Windows 2000 VPN. I can connect but I can not
ping something...

Win2k, SP4: I add the connection. I had add the local DNS from the
"VPN" and the "DNS-Suffix" (Because, I'm not in the same Domain). When
I connect to the VPN, the logon was successfull. I open a "CMD" and
want to ping the DNS Server - does not work... Ping something else,
don't work. BUT I can ping my LAN.

On Windows XP SP1 do I have the same problem.

Does someone has a solution for this? Thank you very much!

Best Regards

Michel

Hi,
You can use a pathping and route print. Also check if routing table is
updated.Usually it could be the common problem, check DNS, WINS and whether
or not broadcast traffic is working. Also, the client may not be able to
browse, but try using the \\servername notation to access a file share.

Rgds.
