VPN issues on Win2k Srvr

Recently upgraded the server that ran RRAS for VPN
connections to our network. Old server was running Win2k
Server SP4 as is the new server. Using PPTP only for
communication. Have opened the ports and forwarded PPTP
on the firewall (same as before). The problem is that
some remote clients can connect and some cannot when all
were able to before. I checked the permissions and
policy, nothing really changed (pretty much defaults).
These are workstations that connected fine before we
replaced the previous server.

I have tried recreating the connections on the user
machines, nothing. Funny thing is that they can connect
from other systems, so the user can logon. I have not
found anything on MS or Google to help. TIA.

Left to Automatic it is 800. If I set it to PPTP it is
638. It's an odd issue because as I said it seems to
affect only certain systems. The same user can logon to
the VPN from one system, but not another?

I have same problem. pptp from 2003 server is ok. I can do from a
2000server sp4 ok but 3 others cannot and 2 windows 2000 pro cannot. THey
are all in the same subnet. pptp was installed at same time with same
settings.

Errors are 721 or 619. At the verifying username password step it pauses
for a long time (a minute) before erroring.
