VPN issues Help !!

I am connected to the internet via a LAN connection. When
I log onto my VPN at work, I can't surf the net or
send/receive email. Help

Remove the checkbox in Vpn Properties/Networking/TcpIP Properties/Advanced/
Use default gateway on remote network.

Does it work now ?
