VPN Help!!!

I am using L2TP for a VPN connection into a firewall
appliance. I cannot get the VPN connection to nest.
Example - I can only hit things on my local LAN and not
out another VPN connection to a remote office. I have
sniffed the packets coming out of my XP machine and it
seems that everything not destined for the 192.168.1.x
subnet is going out the adapter unencrypted directly to
the internet versus going through the VPN tunnel and out
to other sites. Is there any way to add static entries
someway to make this work???????

Could only find one of those mkb articles. Didn't
understand how that one would help me. Are you suggesting
I leave the default gateway blank on my original network
connection and only have a default gateway on the VPN
adapter?
