VPN client 15 character limit

I have a client whose domain is longer than 15 total characters (i.e.
xx.xxx.xxxxxxxx.xxx). When I'm setting up a VPN client to connect, I want to
go ahead and put in the domain for the login but I can only put in 15
characters. Is there any way around this? Thanks.
 
I'm just using the New Connection Wizard under Network Connections to create
the VPN connection.
