VPN , but cannot find the domain controler

I have a small network, with one win2k server, 14 WS's they are
located on two subnets linked by a pair of Linksys VPN routers. I have
established a connection and from the works staitons, on the other
side of the tunnel than the server, I can, ping the server, also map a
drive by either netbios or IP so I know I can reach the server and the
tunnel is working. I beleive I have set up the wins server but my
problem is I cannot get the WS to join the domain, it cannot find it.
Is there something I am missing or have forgotten to do to complete
this process? I have to have the WS in the domain for the custom
software to work.

Make sure the workstations actually have the right DNS and WINS in their
network settings (ipconfig /all). WinNT & Win98 needs properly functioning
WINS to do this, and Win2k (and newer) require properly functioning DNS.

You would be better off joining the workstations by physically having them
at the main site and then transporting them back to the remote site,
depending on how far away that is. Except for the Win98 machines which
never actually "join" a domain.

VPN is a slow, *low* performance link and always will be and this must be
kept in mind when you expect certain things to be done using it.
