Volume

Last week I cleared a lot of out of date programs from my computer. Since
then I lost all volume from my computer. I go to sound settings and I cannot
even adjust the volume levels. Does anyone know what I could have deleted
that could have caused this to happen?

Thanks

You may uninstalled the driver from the Add/Remove programs if you used this
aplet to do so!

Try to Restore the System To before the removale of the out of date programs
and see if that will solve the issue.

Start >> all Programs >> Accessories >> System Tools >> System Restore and
Pick a week old or so restore point.

Have you tried reinstalling your sound driver ?

Check the website of the manufacturer of your computer, and
using the model number, find the driver page. Download the
sound driver and reinstall it.

It could be, that the mixer application was stored in a
separate sound program folder, and you deleted that.
