Volume setting changes on reboot

Hi there,

I normally have the volume muted via the Volume Control in the
systray. However, suddenly I've found that when I reboot the muting
has disappeared and sound is back.

I have Sound Blaster Audigy 2 installed and that's replaced the normal
Volume Control icon, but I installed it several weeks ago (within days
of buying the PC) and it hasn't been a problem until now.

Any ideas?
