Volume Control

I am running WindowsXP. I lost the volume control
program; not able toplace volume icon on task bar.Not
able to retrive it frpm WindowsXP disk. How can I get it
back?

Go into control panel, sounds and multimedia, and check the box that
says control panel in system tray.
