volume and audio sound

I use to have sound, But i think my gandson delieted something on here. and
i dont know how to get it back/ ,Could someone help me? I also have no volume
control on my task bar

Go to the Control Panel>Sound and Audio Devices Icon. Click on it and
in the Volume Dialog Box make sure that the
" Mute " box is not checked and the "Place volume icon in taskbar" is
checked. Click on Advanced and make sure that none
of the mute boxes are checked there.

Surely your grandson wouldn't do that. Sounds more likely to me that there
is a problem with your audio hardware, it may be disabled or it may be
faulty.

Click Start>Control Panel>System>Hardware>Device Manager then select Sound,
Video and Game Controllers. Is your sound card listed there? Double-click
its icon. Is it disabled? Is it reporting a problem?
