I need to record a 15 minutes talk, save it and then copy it on a CD.
I can do the last task, ie. copying on a CD. HOw do I record?

You can use the sounder that comes with windows, but it is limited to one
minute segments which can be spliced together with sound recorder. There
may be a way to extend how long the recorder will record but I do NOT know
how to do this.
There maybe some free software that will do it also, but you have to search
for it. I use a shareware program called Super MP3 recorder and works fine.

I need a program that will listen to my voice and type it out for me in

Using the microsoft sound recorder for longer periods than the default 60
seconds is quite simple. You create a blank file (record nothing for 60
seconds), then save this file as blank, or whatever. Then open new file,
choose "edit" / "insert file". Insert the blank 60 second file as many times
as needed.
