Hello.

I have Windows XP Home Edition - SP2 (all updates and patches installed)
I want to remotely access my machine from work using VNC
Current software I have installed at my home PC is RealVNC (Server version)
I have Netgear Router/Firewall with VNC Ports opened and active as a service
on the Firewall Rules on the Router.
When trying to browse (via http) I cannot connect using the ports.
I know of the IP address and even registered to use Dynamic DNS for my IP
address....no joy!
My ISP has confirmed that they do not block any services either.

Can anyone help?

Much appreciated

Ask your network people at work if they block VNC outbound to the
Internet. My guess is that you don't have a "business" reason to access
the home computer or someone at the office would have provided you with a
means to access it.

What you're trying to do is a serious security risk for the company.

Also, if you left the VNC ports as the default ones, didn't create a
STRONG password, then you will be found - We've seen a large increase in
scans on VNC standard ports.
