Vlookup or Hlookup

Need to know how to search a column of 1000 records to see if 20 records
exist in that column. Example Search column A for these 20 records and show
me ,else prompt not found or error not record. Saw it once but forgot how to
put in the formula
 
VLookup and HLookup are Excel functions.

This newsgroup supports MS Access, the relational database.

Try an Excel 'group.
