We were notified by Norton that someone with an IP
address.....tried to enter our computer through Default
Block Background/Sub Seven Trojan Horse.
Norton's advice was to use Visual Tracking to see whose
IP address it was? How do we do that? Was this a possible
virus attack?
We have Win Xp Pro and Office programs installed.
Help.
Thank you.

It was an attemp by a trojan to try to get in but nortons caught/stopped it.
Tracking it is usually useless as the hacker/trojan most likely has a
spoofed IP address. Do a virus scan just to be sure and check your ports
here:

I think it's not important for you that who
tried to enter your computer. My computer
is attacked in every 5 minutes, but i don't
care, because my firewall protects me forever.:)

(i have got two firewalls. One software = ZoneAlarm
and one hardware = SMC Barricade.)

Your quick explanation has been greatly appreciated. By
the way, can you tell us how to do Virtual Tracking?
Would like to know the procedure.
SK

Thanks for the words of encouragement. How do you like
Norton, Sophos or McAfee?

I don't use nortons firewall, but in the one I use it a simple button you
push and it takes you to a site with info on the attempt. Probably similar
in your firewall.
