I keep receiving a message saying: This application has
requested the runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.
Any idea's

Just guessing, but maybe it requires the .NET Framework SDK?
 
For the life of me I do not see how "Visual C++" applies. Can you be more descriptive what you did or were doing and how the "error" was presented to you?
