visual c++ runtime error

i'm running windows xp home & sharing the desktop with 2
names / accounts. mine as administrator & a second one.
my account is working fine. the other has a problem.
today it can be signed on however explorer isn't working.
i am getting an error message. "visual c++ runtime
library" runtime error. program
c\programfiles\internetexplorer\explorer.exe
this application has requested the runtime to terminate
it in an unusual way. please contact the application's
support team for more information.
it's odd that yahoo messenger works on this account but
not explorer. like i say i can use explorer without
trouble on administrator account but not the other. help
please.

Navigate to the SpyBot S&D section.

Install, reboot, read FAQ and overview, use online update feature to obtain the
latest reference files, scan for Spyware much like you would with your
pre-installed anti-virus scanner.
Rid your machine of unwanted Spyware pests.

CommonName browser hijacker has been known to cause this.

Get Ad-Aware and update to the latest reference file.
Select all items detected and remove.
You may have to reboot and rerun to completely remove the nasties.
