The Old Bloke
I experienced a lot of problems with Vista32, so I decided to load Vista64
(Home Premium). No problems with installation, nor drivers. However one of
my crucial programmes generates a Microsoft error saying that this programme
will not run under Vista64. Contact the developers. I did and they said
their programme won't run on Vista64. This is an unsatisfactory response
from them.
So I decided to install Microsoft Virtual PC 2007(64 bit), only to find that
Home Premium was not supported by Microsoft for Virtual PC. Not to worry, I
would use the upgrade I had seen in Control Panel. I tried to upgrade my
Vista, only to be told that this option is not available in Australia.
Microsoft also said to just go out and buy a different version at a retail
outlet.
I am trying to not get too angry, but for Heaven's sake Microsoft, this is
terrible.
