I had two computers running on Vista for 5 months and had many problems,
every time something and not giving up, putting all my good time in it.
But Vista is off the computers and peace is back in the shop.

Now, for travel reasons only I had to buy a laptop, here in Aus I couldn't
find any shop who would help me to sell a Laptop with XP, plenty young
zombies in the shops but no XP

So I had no choice and bought a Dell via the net , lots India and Malaysia
misunderstandings but after all a clever supervisor girl in Penang was able
to explain what I would get and than, good spec's and price I must admit.

Now I am sitting with a Dell laptop which by no means I get connected to my
wifi Netgear router DG834PN, so now all over again back to India

Also this Dell came with Windows XP partly installed and with a little
bluethtooth, mouse no way I can get that mouse working, that should be the
most easy thing to do

What I like to say is, all these problems I have is only because of
Vista....... I am sick of the name

Without Vista i would have bought a tested Sony laptop with XP in one of the
best shops

Still my advice: don't buy Vista and don't buy a laptop on the net

Goodluck

Over here Dell sells laptops with Winxp, though I believe Dell classes these
as Business Laptops, not Home use

The laptop has XP on it , I am sure I will get it going but I expect that
everything works smoothly as it would be when I buy a new laptop in a shop

I have more computers on the Wi Fi and Mob Phone without problems.

Now what about when I am traveling and I need Internet access in a Hotel
with this Dell I can forget an easy fast connection.

Maybe I am just upset because after all the Vista problems, now this, and I
see this as a tail end of the Vista problems

Perhaps I should go to MAC many friends have done so

"see this as a tail end of the Vista problems"
How?
Your current problems with Windows XP have nothing to do with Windows
Vista.

No problems with XP but Dell and without Vista I could have a laptop from a
shop tested with XP
Vista is a PEST

If you are running Win XP and install Vista, expect to have a slower
machine.
:-(

On the other hand, remove Vista and expect a faster-running PC with
greater compatibility.
:-)

Vista reminds me about Windows ME, another M$ mistake.
