Vista / XP bootmenu is invisible :-(

S

Stefan Koschke

Hi,
i have installed Vista 64 Bit Beta 2 witout problems or error messages on my
computer with Asus Board and AMD Athlon 64.
Now i have boot problems:

If i boot my computer, no boot menu is shown, i get a black screen or black
white striped screen.

If i type Enter starts Vista, if i type Down / Enter my XP starts.

What can i do to make the boot menu visible?

My monitor is LCD 17" Acer.

Regards
Stefan

Hard to say but it might be good to report a bug with the Microsoft Beta
Client. It will include hardware information that could help in fixing the
issue in later version.

Hi,

no way to fix it by myself?
What can i do to send a bug report?
I think it will be sent automaticly if i get a runtime error, but my problem
is before Vista starts...

There is a program available that allows you to modify the boot menu. It is
called VistaBoot Pro. It is a free download. Go here to get it.
http://www.pro-networks.org/vistabootpro/

I just tried the website and it seems to be down but try later. I just
downloaded this program yesterday and it works awesome.

Yeah, I'm not really sure what might be going on, but PROnetworks is definitely
gone ATM :(

Not necessary anymore, the site is back. There was an Apache problem that is now
fixed.
