Hi,

I have just upgraded to RC2 and it is working great, fast and smooth. Apart
from several applications not Vista ready, I find just 2 devices not working
for me. Actually 3, but after finding and installing Windows Mobile Device
Centre Beta 3. I can now syncronize my smartphone again.

1. I have a 5 year old Sony DSC75 camaera with a 64 MB memory stick. There
is no driver (USB) for it on the RC2 distribution and I can't find a driver
anywhere. Can somebody confirm this and/or maybe point me in the right
direction?
2. My Creative sound card have an unsupported game port. Will it be
supported in the final release? Is there a beta driver available somewhere?

Any help is apreciated.

Regards Jan

Did you need a driver in Win XP? The Sony web site
indicates no driver is published, so you may not need one.

XP installs the driver for me. In Windows 2000 there was no driver, so I
used one that came with the camera on a floppy. That floppy is long gone and
as you
say, there are no drivers at Sony. Hopefully this will be supported in the
final release!?

I am no expert, but I would say, just plug it in, and see what happens. Most
times, windows may not see the device, but if there is a mem card in it.
windows will see it as a removable drive after plugging it in to the USB
port.
Now if that doesn't work, you can try to use a generic driver for it, just
by searching through the windows driver database. YOu may not be able to find
your specific model, but if there is a Sony Camera driver, it might be able
to make itself fit.

Just a thought

I have a Cybershot DSC R1 and Vista recognized it and gave me a couple of
options on how to import the photos. Granted this is a newer model but it
uses a memory stick also.

Plug it in and see what happens - I don't think you'll need a driver from
Sony.

Well, I did plugg it in! I have been doing that with every build I have
tested, but it always end up with "Please insert the disk that came with the
camera...". Trying other options leads nowhere.
Thanks for your help.
