I hope someone can help.....

When booting up my laptop with Windows Vista it doesnt boot up fully. It
looks like it is booting up normally, then when it comes to the screen where
you should logon, the shutting down screen appears. It doesnt actually shut
down, its just frozen on that screen.

If anyone has any ides or suggestions they would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Can you boot into Safe Mode? Try that and run a system scan with your
Antivirus utility. Also check the Event Viewer for any logged error
messages.

If that does not work, try repairing your system. Boot from your Windows
Vista DVD, select the System Repair Option > on the setup screen, select
'Repair Computer > Select your installation of Windows > select Startup
Repair option and follow instructions.

Which brand/model laptop is this? Is it still under warranty? If so, you
might want to contact the manufacturer about this issue.
