I just got a new HP nootebook with Vista. I set up Windows Mail - everthing
works great! At 1st I could only receive mail and anything I tryed to send
got stuck in the outbox. I turned on: "My server requires authentication" - &
so far so good. Dang..I have spell check now!!
(click: Tools->Accounts, account name->Properties->Servers tab. Turn on
authentication). And I think Vista rocks!!!

The server authentication requirement is usually dictated by your isp. Enabling for an isp that does not support same usually results in an error.
