RumNcoke

My account is set for windows mail...however, any time i try send pictures,
they end up going through microsoft outlook. I have Vista (not very happy
with it). I originally had my e-mail set up for microsoft outlook but got
tired of using a password everytime i tried to send/receive mail. So i
changed to windows mail.

Thank you

Then you had the account set up wrong when you used Outlook. If you prefer
Outlook to Windows Mail, go to your email provider's support pages and see
what settings you should use (POP, password, ports etc.). Most providers
have simple tutorials for how to set up an email account with all the major
email clients.

Maybe not. Anything less than Outlook 2003 will prompt for the password
every time. It's a known issue. OP doesn't say which version.

See Mark Ferguson's answer to your question. But regarding your
changing from Outlook because you "got tired of using a password
everytime [you] tried to send/receive mail," let me point out that
that is not the nature of Outlook. If that's what was happening, you
simply had your E-mail account set up incorrectly in Outlook.

"gls858" may have it right: it's possible the OP is using an
incompatible version of Outlook.

Yes, you are both probably right. I had forgotten about that. If it's
Outlook 2000, it's not really incompatible, but it won't save
passwords under Vista. That is likely what he is referring to,
although he didn't make it clear what version of Outlook he was
running.

Whoops. You are right.
