I am going nuts. I have a new Dell Inspiron and cannot access alot of
programs. First, I need some help with getting my yahoo mail plus pop server
working correctly. I am on wireless Dsl. I have Windows mail accouts set up
as instructed by Yahoo. I could not send/receive emails from Windows mail.
Yahoo says to activate telnet. I cannot connect and I have tried for several
days. I have just deleted and reset up my mail accounts and did find I was
missing a ste and I corrected that upon reset. I still cannot send/receive.
I have shut down my Windows security in total as I still could not connect
after adding my yahoo, and others, to the save and allowed list. I have also
set Norton up to include telnet, yahoo, and lots of other programs, to allow
these. Again, I still cannot connect. UGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Any advice?
Thanks...

You need a premium Yahoo account to access it with Windows Mail.

They don't seem to have written instructions for Windows Mail yet,
so use their instructions for Outlook Express but under Windows Mail
instead.

Norton is at least part of the problem. Uninstall it, and get your email
working before you install a less troublesome antivirus like the free Avast.
If you continue to have email problems, right-click on the error message,
copy, then paste it into a reply here.

Yes, I have purchased a yahoo mail plus account. I bough it a wk or so ago.
I see that there are many who are having issues. What should I do next?

Did you follow the Yahoo Mail Plus account setup instructions referenced below?
If so, do you get an error message?
