Hi Paul,

You obtain one from HP. Normally, they use a proprietary recovery partition
and an option to create your own set of recovery disks. Check the system
documentation on how to access the former and create the latter.

this disk says it's only to upgrade Vista, but I didn't get the Vista Home
Premium disk if for some reason my hard drive crashes and I need to
reinstall. how do I do that if I don't have the OS disk?

Hi Rick,
Hmmm, read the manual, I guess I should get off the computer and do that...
I'm just very excited with my new toy.
lol, I'm one of these guys that doesn't read the assembly instructions when
I buy something... guess I should.
