vista updates - unable to install

Jim D.

I am a new user & not so sure when it comes to the update problems here goes.
I have vista ultimate 32bit. This last up date 2/13/08 I noticed that two of
the updates failed KB 946026 & 937287. When I searched on the MS technet I
noticed that the first one 946026 says for XP, the other one I cant install
since it says it is not for my system. The rest of the other updates
installed, the qestions are:

1.If I dont need them and they were not installed am still safe to operate
ny vista ultimate 32bit system.

2. Or if I have to install install them how do I do this. Is there smething
wrong with my system that is not allowing them to update.

When answering please keep it simple if possible, as I am a new babe in the
woods here.

Some updates require previous updates to be installed first, which is why
you might see information about a failed update. Usually after a reboot, to
allow the previous update to get installed, then newer updates can then get
installed. Sometimes several reboots are needed if you are a new user (have
a new installation) and have many updates that need to be installed.
