When trying to register my (e-mail address removed) address In Vista Widows Mail
I immediately ge a messge"Windows Mail no longer supports the HTTP servers
used by Hotmail" and goes on to suggest the use of another e-mail address.
Why won't Vista accept Microsoft's own e-miail and if it doesnt why is it
included in the Vista OS installation.?

Eventually installed
Windows Live Mail and my hotmail address was accepted. No wonder Vista is
so unpopular

Hotmail now supports pop3/smtp protocol in many countries, in part because
of complaints like yours. Log in to the Hotmail portal, click the Help or
question mark icon, enter "pop3" in the search box and click on "How do I
add my e-mail account to Microsoft Outlook Express?"

Hotmail and MSN Accounts POP3/SMTP Access

If entry of a hotmail, live, or msn.com address yields the 'no longer supports the http' message..then
Modify the email address and username field contents when setting up the account, setup the email account with all other correct
settings, once setup, edit/correct the email address and username fields. Additonally, ensure, you choose the option to enter the
data manually.

e..g. instead of (e-mail address removed), enter (e-mail address removed). or (e-mail address removed)
On a similar vane for msn.com or live.com > (e-mail address removed) or (e-mail address removed)
