Vista ultimate and XP internet sharing?

E

Erik

Hi

I've got Vista ultimate installed on one computer and XP SP2 on the other.
They're connect via cross-over cable with the Vista comp also connected to
the internet.
They can "see" each other but register each other as "unidentified network".
They've both got the same workgroup and correct ethernet drivers installed.
I've enabled internet connection sharing on the Vista comp but the XP keeps
getting "limited or no connection". I've gone through network setup wizard
many times and no change has occurred.

What is stopping XP from using the Vista's internet connection?

So far I've tried changing all of the following:
Changing workgroup names
Setting between private and public networks on Vista
Gone through countless "diagnose and repairs" and network wizards

Thanks
Erik
