vista ultimate 64 bit sound equilizer

Hi,

just built a new machine, I am new to vista ultimate 64 bit.
had issues with it accepting over 3GB memory, but resolved this by
installing a geniune file from microsoft.com. Now running super 8 GB.
Problems:
I have 5.1 surround system (5 speakers + 1 subwoofer).
The sound comes out only from 2 front speakers and 2 rear speakers (Not from
subwoofer or center speaker)

*** as well I cannot seem to find a sound "equilizer" or multi speakers
control in control panel or task bar, in winxp you click on the speaker in
the task bar next to the clock and get the multiple speaker controler, I
looked all over....I need to control the volume separately front, back, sub &
center speakers. The sound is too loud from front speaker that it covers the
rear speakers sound *** please can someone guide to where to find the sound
"equilizer" or multi speaker volume controler ***

thanks

What kind of sound card do you have ?

In XP, did you use a software that came with your sound card in order to
control the sound level of each speaker ?

I have EVGA motherboard 680i T1 with HDA audio.
I installed vista 64 bit from scratch on a new hard disk.
I was just comparing to XP saying how you can control Rear, front, center &
subwoofer volume seperately unlike vista 64 bit
