Sound problems

I have a new PC, pre-installed with Vista Ultimate. All has been sweet
until today.

All of a sudden the front speakers have gone silent. The subwoofer and rear
speakers are fine. I have a creative Xi-fi card. Windows reports no
faults.

Has anyone else experienced this?
