vista system restore

the only system restore points I have are the ones I manually created. Is
this a bug or a setting? I haven't been able to find any turn offs and the
settings are default.

works fine here...RC2 version.
try control panel---classic view, advanced protection settings,system
protection tab...there your vista drive should be checked.
