Vista SP1 Improves System Overall Performance!

I've installed Vista SP1 Beta (6.0.6001.16633). Everything comes all
right and I am now enjoying an improved performance. But the installation
takes more than 40 minutes, and it required at least 6 GB free space, which
really make me surprised!

But there seems a problem. After the installation, every time the UAC
window popup, it reads "Unidentified Publisher", even though I open the
system's own apps, such as "Disk Cleanup" and "Parental Controls". Anybody
has a idea about that? Is it a bug? Thanks!

Of course I am not complaining about it, after all ,it's a beta version.

Since the Beta is so new, you should post a bug and ask this question
from the source of SP-1.
Few here have experience in that Beta to give you a definitive answer
at this early date.

It's 1 GB if you get the stand-alone version with all language versions.

The one specific to your computer is only 50MB.

Back in the old XP SP2 beta days we used to have private forums w/password
for these issues...don't they do that any more?
Just curious as I'm not a beta tester this time around.

AFAIK, there currently is no public Beta, although it is beginning
soon.
But, pirated copies of questionable source and quality have been
reported.
I suggest no one trust the pirated versions since no one reputable can
attest to their quality, content or source.

Where you get Windows 6.1 (Vista SP1; to be more specific)?????!!!!?!?!?!

He said he had Build 6.0.6001.16633.

SP1 Final will just be some later build number, and Vista will always be
Windows 6.0.

Windows 6.1 is Windows Server 2008.

Just stating what was in the White Paper.
(People in here want to be so dramatic:
It's 1GB in size! What are they thinking?
It doesn't fix anything not already available!
etc.)

I'll just wait for it since unlike some in here, my copy of Vista seems to
work fine and is stable with it's plethra of bugs.

1 GB in size says very little.
What really matters is how much more will be on a fully patched
computer?
For obvious reasons a fully patched computer will use significantly
less than an original installation.

For that reason and others I place little value in the Network
Installation size of SP-1.

I agree! I've installed Vista SP1 Beta (6.0.6001.16633) and now I have
problems, some programs do not open anymore, like the Control Panel,
Windows updates in IE under Tools or/and using the Start Button, Programs,
Windows Update doesn't work. I'm sure I'll find more problems, I'm sure
glad I cloned it! Anyway, I'd wait for a Micro$oft SP if you can!
