Vista Service Packs

I just spoke to Dell on Friday and they said the first Vista SP will come out
1/30 or maybe 2/15. They said this service pack will correct a lot of
problems.

A Beta Version Of Windows Vista Service Pack One Is Currently Available For
Public Preview, Keep in Mind That This Is Not The Final Released Gold Copy
Of Service Pack One, And Should Only Be Used On Test Machines Only.

P.S. The Final Gold Copy Of Windows Vista Service Pack One Will Be Released
Sometime In The First Half Of 2008, Just FYI. In The Mean Time You Can
Download The Beta Version From http://www.microsoft.com/downloads, But Keep
In Mind That If Something Goes Wrong With Your Computer, You Will Receive
Absolutely No Help From Microsoft, Your OEM Provider, And/Or Your ISP
provider, Just FYI. Use It At Your Own Risk, Just FYI.

Does anyone know when Vista Service Packs will be released?

No, nobody knows. Microsoft says that it's tentatively planned for
first half of 2008. Although you should never bet the farm on anything
like this arriving in accordance with what is just announced as a
plan, it is likely that that estimate will be correct.

That Date Can Not Be Accurate, As Microsoft Has Already Said That It Will
Come out Some Time In The First Half Of 2008, Which If You Read In Between
The Lines, It Means The Second Quarter Of 2008, Just FYI.

Microsoft is always striving to improve the quality of there products.
Windows Update is one of the great examples of this effort, since its
implementation, Microsoft has continually improved the service to deliver
improved experience for Windows, software and hardware devices. Windows
Vista SP1 is currently in testing as of this writing. It is expected to be
released sometime in the first quarter of 2008.

A *VERY* ignorant statement from someone at Dell. Service packs are
primarily roll-ups of existing fixes and additional drivers provided by
OEMs. Seldom does a service pack fix anything, if your machine is up
to date there'll be very few changes made by a service pack.

People who expect a service pack to fix a problem will usually only
make the problem worse, everything should be fixed and working BEFORE
installing a service pack.

Better remove All Microsoft products from your PC because you don't know
what to do with a PC anyway, Just FYI. Install Ubuntu. Anyone who tells
people to install Windows Server on their desktop is a douche bag. Just
FYI.

So you are the IDIOT that tells people to clean Vista from their PC and
install Windows 2008 Server Beta Public Server? Just FYI.

You need to remove all software from your PC right away. Fill the bathtub.
Power Up your PC. Get in the Bathtub. Grab your PC.

Enjoy Christmas.

Just FYI.

What ? Windows Update!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Now let me see, wasn`t there some slight trouble where at least 70 posters
including myself had problems with net framework, this being a download for
vista????
So windows update is an "improvement in quality" is it?

It is a major transition for how use and maintain todays PC's. Remember, in
1996 you had to carry the NT Manual to the store the ensure that the device
or software you are buying is certified for the OS. Although you wouldn't
mind since hardware support was stronger for the Windows platform back then
than any other, it shows we are coming a long way now. You can sit in the
comfort of your home and get the latest device drivers or updates for your
software.

If it does not work as it is supposed to, simply do a device driver roll
back or system restore.

To All: The Windows Communities are a wonderful tool and it is a credit to
MS for giving us this opportunity to learn and solve common problems.
Although the writer may intend to be comical, they can also appear to be
mocking or deriding others something along the lines of child like sarcasum.
Just a thought.

That is simply not based on fact. I am using SP1 RC1 and not only does
it fix a number of issues, but it also considerably improves performance
/ GUI response. If you look at the information under
http://technet2.microsoft.com/windo...7845-46d4-85f1-dd471fbc0de91033.mspx?mfr=true
you will see there are a huge number of changes above and beyond the
existing updates.

What an absurd statement.

Not for most.
If you look at the information under

huge number of changes above and beyond the existing updates.

Very few other than as I stated.
What an absurd statement.

What an ignorant statement on your part. Learn WTF you're talking
about before making an idiot of yourself next time.

You are such a stupid ****. If everything worked perfectly, why would
anyone need a service pack in the first place? you are such a ****ing dick.
