Vista Service Pack

long awaited? I thought it was scheduled for beginning of the year. Vista
has only been available for less than a year. XP has been out since 2001 and
SP3 is just now in the works.

Microsoft is always striving to improve the quality of there products.
Windows Update is one of the great examples of this effort, since its
implementation, Microsoft has continually improved the service to deliver
improved experience for Windows, software and hardware devices. Windows
Vista SP1 is currently in testing as of this writing. It is expected to be
released sometime in the first quarter of 2008.

Has anyone heard any info on the long awaited SP for Vista?

You might browse the new group - there have been several reports. The
thing I hear most frequently is that it does not really fix much.

sandy, do not get your hopes up that SP1 is gonna fix anything that is
currently bugging you about Vista. it is all much ado about nothing, to
fit right in with Vista. If you have auto updates on, you will be
getting little of substance, from SP1. If only the minions at MS could
fix the frickin' search function. Grrrr!

PS: I wish i had better news for you, because I would be thrilled to
know that SP1 was going to fix some aggravating issues with Vista, one
of the most underwhelming OS's ever to ooze its way out of Redmond,
Dave

Yep, it is just as buggy as what it's suppose to fix.

I bet no sales people like you.
When you buy shoes, I bet for weeks you call the store, demanding to speak
to the manager..
...with complaints like :

If I had made them , they would fit right !

Since they hurt my feet, can you knock off ten bucks.

You know, the shoe companies spy on me...especially when me and P Diddy are
kicking it !

The cashier was stupid, as was the sales person...can you knock 5 bucks off.

Your parking was inadequate...can you throw in a pair of socks.

Here is what you need...

The People Who Are Involved In The Windows Vista Service Pack One Beta Are
Not Allowed To Talk About The Beta, Due To The NDA (Non Disclosure
Agreement) They Signed In Order To Become Beta Participants, Just FYI.

P.S. The Windows Server 2008 Release Candidate 0 Public Beta Has Some Of The
Same Features That The Windows Vista Service Pack One Private Beta Has
(According To News Media Reports), You Can Find The Windows Server 2008
Release Candidate 0 Public Beta At
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsserver2008, Just FYI.

P.S. I Did Submit A Request That Microsoft Open Up The Windows Vista Service
Pack One Beta To A Larger Audience, Microsoft Said They Can Not Release The
Beta To MSDN And Tech Net Plus Until The Beta Reaches The Release Candidate
Stage (There Was Recently An Article On Microsoft Tech Net Promising That
MSDN And Microsoft Tech Net Plus Subscriber's Will Get Windows Vista Service
Pack One When It Reaches That Release Candidate Stage), That Article Has Now
Disappeared From That Specific Microsoft Tech Net Subscriptions Home Page,
Just FYI.

yeah it feels like a elephant riding a bike sometimes. On the most recent
hardware is can struggle. It should scream. This is my greatest complaint.
