My brother has Vista U and is able to connect to the wireless router fine yet
he cant connect to the net with anything. I've been through all the settings
i could find trying to work out whats going on but vista cant see any
problems and thinks its connected.

its been able to connect in the past up till about a week ago. all over
computers on the network connect to the internet fine.

I've also been through the routers settings and it all looks good from there.

If anyone has any ideas that would be really helpful.

Start by looking at logs from "ipconfig /all" for the problem computer, and for
a couple others.

Then look at two common problem areas - DNS, and MTU.
