Vista restarts itself...

I am running Vista 64bit Home Premium with 3gigs or ddr ram, and an
AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 4800+, with a 70gig primary IDE drive and a
150gig secondary SATA drive. For some reason, it seems as though when
it goes into sleep mode, it decided to restart instead. No errors or
anything. And I checked the system log and didn't see anything fishy.
Any ideas? TIA!!!!

I's probably that Vista's installing updates to your computer. If you don't
like it go to Control Panel > Windows Update > Change settings > Click
'Download updates but let me choose whether to install them'.

Should be something in the event log for shutdown/start .. look for things
which happen before htat (e.g., Windows Update)

Other have also referenced the BIOS, is there a not so complicated process to
correct? thanks

Not if it is BIOS caused. One possibility is you have a scheduled activity
that triggers an active BIOS function, so you might check to see if you can
stop it within Windows.
