Vista not reading my cd.

I am new to this kind of stuff, so please excuse me. I have a big problem,
well at least for me anyways. I am going to school and I use my new laptop to
do my school work on and it has windows vista on it. I have a program
installed on here called QuickBooks, I need this program for my school work.
I have donwnloaded everythign to my flash drive for this program. And now my
flash drive no longer works. But, prior to my flashdrive going out on me I
copied stuff from my flashdrive and put it on a cd a readable one. My
computer says it's on there but whenI go to retreive it form the cd going
threw quickbooks it says there is nothing there, so I coipied to the computer
it's self and it still shows (QB) that there is nothing in the file that I
have copied it to. I was wondering if anyone has any idea one what I can do
to make this work for me? If anyone can help please I really need some help.
Thank you whomever in advance for their help on my issue.

perhaps you mean a RW disk? Re-Writable disk?

Use a normal CD-R disk Not a Re-Writable disk
and try again
