Hi,

Windows Vista Ultimate (Final release - MSDN)

Windows vista set to 800x600 resolution works fine. However, when i try
setting the same to 1024x768 resolution my screen stretches vertically, and
i cannot see start menu/taskbar?

Any help will be appreciated.

I have a latest Acer Travelmate 4052NLCI Laptop with 40GB HDD, and 768MB RAM

Thanks,and Regards,
Praveen

Is your video card supported on Vista? Many aren't. Always check
compatibility before installing a new OS.

Are you using a CRT monitor? Many CRTs need justification with the manual
controls on the monitor when you switch resolution.
