I paid to have DVD's delivered for Vista rather than the monstrous
downloads, but the last version I received was RC1 (Build 5600).

What is the most up to date version, and is it available for download seeing
as the DVD's seem to have stopped?

I think you're a little bit behind on the news. Vista has RTM'd meaning
it's final code has been completed for retail and manufacturers. Rumor has
it there will be a trial of the RTM come December 1st. All versions of
Vista will be out in retail stores on January 30, 2007.

Right, thats what you paid for. RC1 was the last one. The product is
already completed now. The latest build is RTM (Build 6000). This is the
version you will be able to buy in stores in January.

The last build available to testers was RC2, but that is no longer available
to members of the Customer Preview Program. Therefore all you can download
now is RC1, which you already have.
