Wow what is this crap that everyone is posting about DRM again?

The DRM features in Vista are a framework to allow HDCP pass-through of
signals.

If the signal requires a secure HDCP path and it's not there it doesn't show
the content.

Bam, end of issue.

Vista doesn't kill your OS if you're trying to playback DRM content and your
system isn't compliant. It just doesn't allow the content to be played,
plain and simple.

I'm really starting to worry about the mental health of people who really
believe half the stuff that they post in here :(

Yes, esp. worry about the mental health of someone who considers DRM a
'feature'!

Why on earth would Vista try to kill itself, the 'OS' if you are trying
to play back DRM content or not?
