vista inbuilt burner or nero 7.5?

I would choose Nero 7x since you are able to accomplish a wider array
burning projects with and use more formats compared to the built in DVD
Burning solutions in Vista. Not that I'm saying the one in Vista is not
good, its just that you are able to do more and work more flexible with
NERO.

which is a better cd and dvd burner? the one built into vista or nero
7.5?

NOT nero 7.x it was full of problems.. nero has been updated to version
8.2.X !!!

My advice is if you have a key for nero 8, search for the micro (lite)
editions because nero is a monster application much like vista itself.

if you cant buy or dont have nero 8 take a look at www.cdburnerxp.se
totally free and vista compatible!

Nero.

With very rare exceptions, *all* the utilities that come with the
operating system (Vista, XP, or any other Microsoft operating system)
are more primitive and less capable than the other choices available.

However that does *not* mean that everyone should rush out to buy
replacements for all of these. You should try what comes with Vista
and see if it meets *your* needs. If it does, regardless of whether
something else may be better, it's not necessary for *you*.

Mr. Blake,

Nice answer. How can anyone insinuate that you are a Microsoft fanboy when
you give advice like this?

Have a nice day.

Co-sign. Nero offers CDText and disc-at-once (gapless CD burning)
functionality that the Vista burner doesn't have. If you keep burning mix
CDs for the car, you'lll probably find the money very well spent. =)

I have nothing against Roxio or the other various choices out there that
also offer this functionality.

That being said, I'm not the biggest fan of the *Nero DVD burning*
functionality, but I think that's a hard area to get right. =)

Anyone that DOESN'T bash is a fanboy in the smacktard's eyes. Since I am
able to make Vista function well, I'll probably be accused of being one
myself. This is hardly the case. I'm one that will blast whoever, whenever,
if it doesn't work. I blasted Norton on my blog over that piece of crap they
call 360. I have a big problem with a lot of MS's business practices. That
being said, I DO come to these newsgroups to help fix any problems I may
encounter, get tips, and try and help others when I can because I wish to
have the same done in return. Like many others here, I use Vista, or
whatever because it helps me do what I need to get done the best at the
moment. If it turns out in the future than say Linux, or Mac does what I
need it to, I will use that. I WON'T however, try and bash/flame/troll the
choice anyone else makes to help them be the most productive.

There's no need to pay if you need listed functionality :) Tons of
the free software does exactly the same and their authors don't ask
for 90 Euro. StarBurn also can do CD-Text and gap-less AudioCDs. And
it's completely *FREE* :) Take a look here:
