Is there an offical guide to make vista run more smoothly?

Something like disabling services and stuff like that ?

At this stage in the beta Vista isn't really meant to be smoother/faster. it
is rather disppointing that this build is still relatively slow (windows xp
was far faster at this stage of beta testing), however, Microsoft appear to
be concentrating on functionality rather than speed at the moment. As the
beta progresses the developer's will concentrate more on the speed.

It shouldn't be deployed on a production line because the operating system
is still unstable. Microsoft recommend test machines only. You are at risk
of loosing valuable data if used on a production system.
