Vista - ICC colour profiles won't load

Hello. I've got a Dell XPS M1330 laptop / Vista Business SP1 / plugged into
a 20" Samsung LCD via HDMI. I am trying to load some ICC profiles to fix the
LCD's weird colour. I've tried to load ICC profiles via the "Colour
Management" screen - they appear load ok, but there is no change whatsover in
my monitors colour... I am totally defeated. (I've tried loads of different
profiles and no difference) Anybody got any ideas?

If the LCD display is really off, the ICC file may not help. It's really
intended to make fairly small adjustments.
There may be another issue as well. Some of the HD monitors and tv's lock
out local (front panel) control adjustments for such things as color balance
when HDMI is used (why, I have no idea, and hope that this is very uncommon)
.. An alternative might be to look at the video driver options. Video
drivers can allow you to make the needed changes. Another issue might also
be related to the video driver and the two displays.
Some drivers only allow correction to be applied for one display.

You should also use a "reference" picture, such as one of several found at:
