Vista Home Premium does not Shut Down correctly

Whenever I try to Shut Down my laptop running Vista Home Premium, the system
gets stuck either "Logging Out" or "Shutting Down". At this point, I must
manually shut down the computer by holding down the power button.

Is there any fix for this? AFAIK, I have every available Vista update.

Thanks in advance.

Go into device manager, and make sure you have NO red x's or yellow
exclamation marks...

Various people have reported this. My problem seems to be a USB wireless
adapter. If I yank it out before shutdown then PC shuts down OK.
