I am running Vista Home Premium and every time I press "Shut Down
Menu", I get "Sleep" option. I have to choose them manually "Shut
Down" option.

How can I set the default option to "Shut Down"?

Thanx/NSP

Can you do that in French?

The French Vista Control Panel has nothing like "Edit Plan Settings > Change
Advanced
Power Settings >..."

Worked like a champ -- once I realized that the power options settings on my
computer had apparently been customized by HP. Once I started digging
around, however, it was all there. Thanks for a great tip!!

When you are in 'Power Settings', click on 'Change Power Settings' for
whatever power plan you are on. This opens up the 'Edit Plan Settings'
Window

Thanx. It worked.
