Go in to Control Panel/Accounts, select your account and there is an option
to turn it off. That was the first thing I did, it's a shame that you can't
adjust the level of account control, it's over the top asking permission to
create folders etc.

Yes, through the methods already stated (easiest way is to disable if from
the tools tab of msconfig), however you may find that once the system is set
up you will no longer get the prompts. Disable it, configure the system to
your liking, then reenable it to take advantage of the security it offers.
There is some line in the Registry to turn it off, didn't save the
post, somebody did post it here or in the setup group a day or two
ago. Its just a nag screen and quitely closes by itself. Usually once
I boot up I have two or three windows, often more open right away to
start working and don't see my desktop, so I just tend to ignore all
the silly things Windows nags about.
is there any way to cut off user account control off
go to the start menu and click on your account picture (the one above your user name) and you will get a box called "Make changes to your user account, click on the "Turn User Account Control on or off"
