Problem switching users

I have a PC running Vista Ultimate. It has two local user accounts. I have
a problem with logging off user accounts and switching users.

I log into Account 1, stay logged in, and switch to Account 2. Then I log
off Account 2. The PC hangs for 3-4 minutes at the "Logging Off" screen
before I get back to the user accounts screen. If I log off Account 1
before logging into Account 2, then log off Account 2, there's no delay in
going back to the user account screen. Any suggestions?

I have a new laptop running Vista Home Premium, and have the same problem. I
have already tried disabling anything from the start menu which might be
"hanging up" when I log off, but it still does it... only sporadically.
What's the deal? Any ideas?
